Belarus has introduced a ban on the movement of freight vehicles and tractors with Lithuanian and Polish registrations on its territory. The restrictions will be in effect until the end of 2027, in accordance with the government’s resolution.
According to the document, the ban also covers trailers and tractors registered in Poland and Lithuania. It also prohibits the movement of passenger cars with Polish registration that are engaged in international transport under individual waybills or under international CMR waybills.
The term of the decree is until December 31, 2027.
The Belarusian government has adopted the corresponding document.
It also specifies exemptions for certain categories of travelers.

Since October 27, Vilnius has fully closed crossings toward Belarus.
Until November 30, 2025, the Šalčininkai and Medininkai border checkpoints on the border with Belarus will remain closed.
Exemptions are provided for certain categories of travelers.
On October 28, Polish authorities announced their readiness to open two border crossings with Belarus in November. However, on October 30, after consultations with Vilnius, Warsaw postponed this decision for another few weeks.
The current transit situation between the countries remains unresolved and requires further diplomatic monitoring and consultations.
