  1. Yeah the young people earn too much, not the rich pricks like himself.

  2. Boomer who has spent his life living on public handouts expects young people to make do with less, this and other unsurprising news at 11!

I seriously don’t know why you Brits put up with this from your elders……

  3. There was this channel 4 documentary when I was a kid where politicians volunteered to live on benefits for a short time and I will never forget the old guy having a melt down in the park outside the block they put him in.

Make these people live the life. Nige went to one of the poshest schools in the country and even the headmaster thought he was a posh cunt. He wouldn’t last a week.

  4. The more hate and division he sows, the higher his approval ratings. What is going on with British voters?

  5. What the fuck does anyone see in this dickhead honestly

  6. This is the sort of stuff people should be taking seriously, not his rhetoric about Johnny Foreigner.

This is why Farage is fronting a political party that is promising to pull us out of conventions that protect human rights. It’s not to be cruel to immigrants, it’s to give the billionaire class the opportunity to reduce workers’ rights and restrict pay and benefits.

  7. The worst part is knowing that a big part of his base audience is made up of people barely above min wage or on some form of benefits and they’ll be agreeing that yes the people not them are earning too much because when they were kids they didn’t earn that much and turned out fine. They’re walking straight into the leopards teeth.

  8. People are already struggling. Reducing peoples wages would lower tax revenue and increase welfare. Stupid idea

  9. That’s because he’s so disconnected from reality, by his own choosing, that he doesn’t know how normal people live.

He’s nothing but a slimy grifter, who’s only looking for the next scam. He’s the MP for Clacton on sea and hasn’t even attempted to address any of their local issues. So how people can honestly think he could run a country, I really can’t understand.

  10. OK, then. Here’s a suggestion. For three months, Farage should agree to give up access to his bank accounts, salaries and donations etc and agree to get by on minimum wage. See what it’s really like instead of talking nonsense.

Soon change his tune after that.

  11. Yeah, it’s the youngsters hording all that minimum wage goodness that needs correcting……….

  12. Ah yes! that will be sure to fix everything…… lets reduce the chances for the young even more!! HELL why not make them slaves

  13. “Working to increase the company share price is more than enough compensation. Oh and don’t forget your landlord!”

  14. Young people don’t even get minimum wage. This is deluded bollox! You don’t get paid minimum wage until you’re 25 thanks to these bullshit wage tiers in the UK, yet you don’t get any money off council tax, rent or anything. I decided to leave the UK because of this in my early 20s because I had to borrow money to get by even though I was working up to 60 hours a week.

I think all politicians completely ignore and underestimate just how devastating this policy is, especially when you chase a promotion only to still not get minimum wage when you get it… Then you lose motivation to even try too hard to prove yourself because you know you’re only going to get more hours for shite pay.

How are you going to ever stimulate the economy when you’re allowing people to get ripped off so badly? They won’t contribute tax because they don’t earn enough. They won’t want to seek to prove themselves because there is no reward for it. Take it from me, I left the UK because there was no opportunity for me or any young person except working to the bone to be broke, stressed, unhealthy with zero time/energy for my personal life.

And don’t get me started on fucking apprenticeships… Slave labour for pennies that no one can afford to do anymore. Young people are not afraid to work hard, but don’t lie to the fucking country by saying they’re paid too much.

(Comment is copied from another post I made on this subject… Fucking furious when I see how young people are treated in the UK)

  15. Bet he thinks the min. age for working is too high too.

    Children yearn for the fields/mines/chimneys.

  16. If rents and bills were discounted according to age, then I would agree with him. Unfortunately, if you are young then you face the same overheads as anyone else.

  17. He knows that minimum wage has risen significantly (as it should) in the last 5 years and that it’s closed the gap with people who have degrees and work in their field but are stuck on ~£30K because private companies are exploiting workers.

He’s going for those people hoping he can stir up anger and get them to join him.

He’s hit critical mass with his typical group and now needs to stir up others.

  18. I don’t like the guy but he’s right. Those young people should get off their arses and go make speeches to Trump fans in the US for 30 grand a pop or go on Question Time a couple of times a month and make daft statements. The very least the Workshy youth should do is get some back channel money from Putin or even run for parliament; that money is basically free, you don’t even have to meet constituents. If they’re not even going to be born into a rich family and attend a public school, they deserve all they get.

  19. Millionaire grifter takes time out from his many holidays abroad to tell poor people they’re not poor enough.

Our next Prime Minister, folks! /s

  20. Yeah they earn so much that they can’t even move out of their parents till their mid 20’s in some cases 30 years old. Seriously things cost so much these days and pricks like Farage just want to make things so much worse for young people and the working class.

  21. I’m still surprised about the Ageism and disparity of payment due to age.

Seems completely unfair to expect people to work the same or at times more (due to being young and pushed to do the worse tasks) and nobody to this day complains or changes it.

  22. Reform make no secret of the fact that they want to do away with our hard fought employment rights

  23. Yes, the public school boy commodities trader knows how it is to live on benefits.

If he took the silver spoon out of his mouth he might speak some sense for a change.

  24. Is he fucking kidding? Young people can barely survive on minimum wage! What does he want mass homeless! What a prick!

  25. Imagine saying to a voter base who are already struggling and telling them that the problem is that they have too much money!

    Out of touch or what?

  26. That’s going to endear him to young voters…

If anything it’s the young that need a leg up, not the boomers like himself.

Maybe the young will finally mobilise and get out there to vote en mass next time.

  27. There is simply TOO MUCH money in the hands of young people and those on minimum wage and nowhere NEAR enough hoarded by boomers and the ultra wealthy.

It is absolutely right that working class people will vote Reform to make themselves poorer, for the sake of fairness.

Careful, some enlightened centrist will be along soon to tell us how this ridiculing of a ridiculous cunt of a man is exactly why people will vote Reform.

  28. And I suggest this frog faced prick should keep his mouth shut.

  29. Looking forward to seeing him prove it by reducing his own wages to the minimum amount for a year and see how far he gets. No keeping anything from before, it’s got to be a fresh start. Good luck finding somewhere to rent and transport.

edit: lmao I made a reform voter angry

  30. My rent payments are near 45% of my income. Council tax takes another 15% as does electricity costs. That’s 75% of my income on bills already and I haven’t accounted for all of them here. Still got water, phone, broadband and probably some more I’m not recalling. Fuck off, Nigel.

Edit: Forgot to mention, I’m not on minimum wage, it’s just practically caught up with my job’s wage.

  31. It’s interesting that he’s now admitting that tax cuts aren’t realistic. Feels like he’s looking towards actually taking power rather than pure populism. He might find things a little harder when you have to make the sums add up.

  32. He also said as well he may look at amending the triple lock on pensions and not cut taxes.
So in a nutshell he is either looking to see how ignorant his voter base is by voting for him on policies that will screw them over, or he is starting to realise power is a possibility, getting scared shitless that he will be responsible for something (like the 6th largest economy in the world) and finding ways to make himself unpopular and blame everyone but himself for leaving politics.
    Hopefully it’s the latter

  33. Yes, when I look around the world today, the problem is that young people have too much money. They’ve been buying up all the properties and jacking up the rents, buying media companies to spread lies and misinformation, influencing elections in their favour and funding wars. That was the young people right?

  34. I’m sure he just says this stuff to get his name in headlines, because nobody with an ounce of intelligence can think anything he says is remotely worthwhile.

  35. Hands up who wants to see Nigel Farage work any actual minimum wage job?

Maybe study at the same time because student support is rubbish?

And live in a crappy home with a crappy landlord (who he thinks should get more money…)

  36. Ah great. People on minimum wage earn too much do they 12 jobs nige

  37. He was incorrect. They do the jobs ‘adults’, refuse to do. But he does create illegal activity himself which I hope results in a reduction of his salaries and live hood.

  38. this is so stupid, because what do young people do with a little bit of extra cash, they spend it in local stores / pubs etc, so it stimulates other businesses, having them only be able to pay rent on a room and never go out does not help growth at all.

  39. “Minimum wage”

    “Earn too much”

    Minimum wage

    *Minimum* wage

    *Minimum*

  40. So the person who earns a million pounds a year is telling the person on minimum wage they earn too much ….. right okay

  41. These old people have literally had everything given to them on a plate. They all think they are Warren Buffet because the house they have just lived in and brought for 20 quid is now worth £500,000. I wish they would all just fuck off.

  42. And how many side hustles does *he* have? Sir, I thought you should *only* be paid a MP salary

  43. Says the out-of-touch toff [who is earning substantially above the minimum wage](https://members.parliament.uk/member/5091/registeredinterests) from the twelve different jobs he’s worked instead of serving the people of Clacton.

[We literally pay him £94,000 per year for the privilege of serving as a Member of Parliament and he can’t be arsed to hold a single surgery for his constitutents.](https://leftfootforward.org/2025/07/from-low-attendance-to-little-casework-facts-show-nigel-farages-appalling-record-as-mp/)

I’d be absolutely chuffed if I were earning the equivalent of £1,335 an hour from being a news commentator on Sky News Australia, £250 an hour for writing articles for the Torygraph, £72.39 per short-form ~37 second greetings video over on Cameo, or £3,624.30 an hour as a GB News presenter. That should be the real headline here….

[Minimum wage by comparison is £12.21 per hour for workers above 21 years old, £10 an hour for those between 18-20, and a mere £7.55 an hour for under-18s and apprentices.](https://www.gov.uk/national-minimum-wage-rates)

If we look at Farage’s most controversial Cameo video [where somebody literally paid him to say “Up the Ra”](https://www.youtube.com/shorts/uoePokfHerA), he earned £72.39 for twenty seconds of work, or 5.9287 times more than an underpaid 21 year old sandwich artist would get for 3,600 seconds (or an hour) of work at Subway. Let that sink in…

This is the guy whose homework Keir Starmer and Kemi Badenoch have been copying, and likely our next Prime Minister thanks to how incompetent Labour and the Tories are, and how sheepish our electorate are.

  44. Ans this sponge that has no idea what work is needs to be paid zero

  45. And Dickheads STILL want to vote for him?!?!

I WISH the racist MORONS would look past the end of their noses, and see this W⚓️ does not give a 💩about the little people, which the majority of the morons are.
