Lol, not sure which is most embarrassing, failing to double check your email before sending, or having a “journalist” from the National in your autocomplete making this possible in the first place.

Tldr, sounds like an embarrassing security breach, but nothing of actual importance revealed and presumably no one sufficiently important to bother naming.
Sounds like The National were consummately professional about this.
Also seems obvious that this guy was paranoid schizophrenic
