It's like they are taking over the idea that "corporations and the rich are sacred, screw the working class & the poor".

  1. Duh, that is and was always the goal. But a lot off people don’t see it.

  2. If you want people to start businesses, there has to be a pot of gold at the end of the road. Otherwise, why take all the risk, hassle and extra work?

  3. Everytime Trump posts something on Truthsocial I swear, it’s like I see a translation of it on Theo Franchen’s Facebook page. Especially after his Antifa and “terrorist left” rhetoric.

  5. >”yeah, we want that for our citizens”

    “for our *donors*”

  6. They don’t want it for their citizens, they want it for their begroting. Hate it or love it but public services cost money. Privatized services bring in tons of money (from the poor peasants and not their rich party sponsors, obviously)

  8. Always has been, and people have been calling me an alarmist since I’ve been calling em out for it 20 years ago. And we still haven’t seen how low the Americans will go since each day is a new low. Disappearing brown people at random isn’t a breaking point for their supporters. The current US is our future, the Overton window just hasn’t shifted far enough for now. It will, give it time.

  9. The political families are just looking for jobs and influence at global level, they never care about citizens.

  10. That’s exactly what they want.

Look at how rich american politicians are. Ofc they want the same type of society, and make tons of money somehow legally instead of laundering pocket change with scratchers like poor Didier Reynders.

  11. Most stupid thing in Belgium is all these weird subsidies as said by author. Lower taxes, lower random subsidies and completely random privileges that are inefficient (maaltijdcheques and other crap like that).

Anyways issue with taxing capital, its all easy to write about it but to implement it is another thing. Belgium CANNOT heavily tax capital. It is way too easy to exit the country. Belgium is so small and irrelevant (sorry), needs to pursue a similar policy to Dubai/Singapore etc.

  12. This has been clear for months now. They tried their hardest to reach out to Trump and be allies in their despotism. Unfortunately for them, Trump made it clear he’s choosing Russia above Europe. Otherwise you would be seeing this a lot more.

  13. With how De Wever fawns over Reagan, this shouldn’t be any surprise

  14. As a 60+ year old dude from Los Angeles who just enjoyed a week in Antwerp (attending Desertfest), you do not want to be like us. Not even the Biden version of the US, much less the horror show we’ve become under Trump. Vote down any party that suggests you become more like our kleptocracy.
