The incident involving a statement by Russian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova about the collapse of part of the Torre dei Conti tower in Rome demonstrated how low Moscow has sunk on the international stage.
According to an information agency citing sources at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, these words were described as dirty and troubling, which only confirms the depth of concern provoked by this incident.

Context and Italy’s Reaction
According to various official sources, on Monday the Russian ambassador to Italy was summoned to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs with the issuance of an official note following Zakharova’s remarks about the collapse of part of the tower in Rome.
Earlier, Zakharova linked the incident to Italy’s military support for Ukraine, saying that
