1. It seems that every day I see yet another way we’ve been unnecessarily financing Putin for years.

2. It makes perfect sense, with the trade war steel is right in the middle. Might be better to just keep everything domestic.

4. I just don’t believe that Klingbeil does it because he wants to contain Russia but because the SPD desperately wants to present itself as party for the people working in blue collar jobs in the industrial sector which it neglected for many years.

9. Why is it still allowed? It should have been banned years ago. Not just because of the war but also be abuse steel production is a strategic necessity and Europe is really struggling to produce steel economically. So governments are having to step in and nationalise it. Such as a few months ago one of the last remaining steel plants in the UK, almost permanently closed after the Chinese owners tried to sabotage it. By letting it run out of fuel, having cancelled the fuel delivery that was sitting off the coast. With the way that they intended to do it, making an economic restart almost impossible. As the correct preparation for a re-start hadn’t been done.
