What to KnowPolls open in New Jersey from 6 a.m. through 8 p.m. and in Pennsylvania from 7 a.m. through 8 p.m. for Election Day on Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025. Democrat Mikie Sherrill takes on Republican Jack Ciattarelli in the race to replace Democrat Phil Murphy as New Jersey’s governor.Sherrill is a Democratic congresswoman for the House of Representatives for New Jersey’s 11th district and a former Navy helicopter pilot and federal prosecutor who took office in 2019. Ciattarelli is a former assemblyman for New Jersey’s 16th district. He is also the owner of Galen Publishing, L.L.C., a medical publishing company, and has previously served as a public accountant.In Philadelphia, incumbent Larry Krasner faces off against former judge Pat Dugan in the District Attorney’s race. The two already faced off in the Democratic primary elections earlier this year in which Krasner defeated Dugan. Now Dugan is running as a Republican.For the past decade, the Pennsylvania Supreme Court has had a Democratic majority of 5-2. That could soon change as Democratic justices Christine Donohue, Kevin Dougherty, and David Wecht are all up for retention. Voters will have the option of selecting “yes” to retain each of the three Democratic justices or “no” to begin a process that would call for the election of a new justice.Other races include Philadelphia City Controller between Democratic incumbent Christy Brady and Republican challenger Ali Patrinos, the Pennsylvania commonwealth and Pennsylvania superior court.You can track the results of all the races live after the polls close here.
