NATO Summit Drone Operators Fined in The Hague for Violations

In June this year in The Hague during the NATO summit, dozens of people launched drones before or during the event, for which they have since been fined. In total, 29 drone operators were fined, and the amount of fines ranged from 350 to 1,350 euros.

The report notes that a full ban on drone use was in effect during the summit. Many violators claimed they were unaware of these restrictions, but ignorance of the law does not exempt from liability, as it is the operators who must check where flying is permitted.

Additionally, it should be noted that the NATO summit in The Hague addressed three main issues: increasing defense spending, strengthening the capacity of the defense industry in NATO countries, and continuing aid to Ukraine.
