  5. The “legal system” currently only exists to prosecute Trump’s enemies and the lower class. Any lower courts offering “opinions” will be subsequently discarded and ignored.

  7. Cool, and I will continue doing my civic duty to remind Americans who is causing this, even if they don’t listen. Even if they deny it. I hope those of you reading this can help me out with this, battle the lies, reaffirm the truths. Be exhaustingly truthful. No whatabouts. No “imagine” this, “imagine” that stuff. I’m tired of reading it, you’re tired of reading it. Our “imaginations” are abundant. They help no one. Live in reality. Keep the course and dialogue righted.

    Read the articles, baby bird the truth to those too lazy. In this case, the message is simple in this article:

    Trump is starving my neighbors and your neighbors. All for vanity and pettiness.

    and that includes you who support him. Especially you.

    Think about that if you voted for him, and happen to be waiting in a food pantry line today, wondering why this is happening. Look at the headline, read the article. Read outside your bubble. If you have a kid in tow, look down at them. Think about THEIR future. Your ego is so small in the grand scheme of things, but your capacity for good is limitless. All it takes is a bit of humility, even if your ego doesn’t allow you to vote for the obvious better choice, not voting for the abuser (by sitting out even) is just as equally viable.

    He didn’t defy a court order since he doesn’t have the power to defy the courts.

  13. What’s the point of a legal system if republicans are allowed to just ignore rulings. Why should anyone follow laws? If our government has no obligation to follow the rule of law then the whole system breaks down

  15. Election day gift. The messaging around ACA subsidies and how that relates to SNAP via the shutdown made it unclear to some about who the villain was. This is a straight line: Trump chose to break the law to starve you.

    So, who is holding SNAP recipients hostage so millions lose healthcare subsidies and their costs go up even more under his administration?

    The only upside to him being so dumb, so dumbly confident, and so blatant is that he acts against his own best interest. He doesn’t care about debt, or cutting costs or any other lies. So, he could simply force his Republican puppets in the Senate and House to extend healthcare subsidies, end the shutdown, restore SNAP benefits to his voters and move on. Instead, because Democrats are fighting for something he is against it no matter how much harm comes to us and politically for Republicans in the process.

  20. He wants food riots so that he has an excuse to impose Martial Law. It’s the classic authoritarian tactic of creating the problem then going “strong man” to solve it.

    Trump does not joke. Guess they will learn the hard way, if they learn it’s Trump doing this at all.

  25. Republicans don’t believe in the rule of law, democracy, empathy, the constitution, human rights, facts, data, evidence, science, or medicine. We are dealing with people who should not be in power and should instead be in prison.
