1. This is how I felt the day the Paris Climate Accord was signed. Too many rich people involved in steering the direction of humanity and too many humans not willing to accept any degree of change to their way of life and consumerism.

2. Closer to reality than many. It’s not 95% though, it’s close to 100. It’s not 2°, it’s closer to 3. Given emissions are still rising, we are on track for 3-5. The rate of increase in temperature has accelerated. Thermal stores have reached equilibrium capacity. CO2 sinks are reversing. Albedo dropping.

   Extreme influence and bias from industries directly affected, and oligarchs that want to have the world stay the same, along with the antiscience forces they amplify, have been watering down the message for many decades.
