Flares should be brought back as the height of fashion.
Those flares 👌🏻
Now we need a photo of the Henge before the Stone.
Camped there overnight in the sixties.
…..a red car was later seen driving away from the scene, heavily laden at the back. If you have any information, please ring the Druid Squad at Wiltshire Police.
When my sister went on a school trip there, she climbed all over the buggers and had a good time.
Two years later, my brother went and did the same.
By the time it was my turn, the bastards had stopped anyone going near. I took it very personally.
Bet the traffic was a lot better on the A303 back then too!
Landcrab!
I remember going in the early 70’s and they were just in a cow field with a normal field gate. There are lots of other wonderful stones you can see without restrictions like Stanton Drew and Avebury.
Geez, Stonehenge and Longleat in the same day?! Sounds like an epic day out!
What a great photo of you all looking so cool.
Thinking its about 1978 or thereabouts?
I remember going to Stonehenge with my family and laying on the Slaughter stone whilst my brother pretended to do the druidy-deed.
That certainly wouldn’t be allowed now!

>before the barriers
What is there now?
(I just googled, and the pics make it look like there’s not much? Just a circular walking track and maybe a shallow ditch? Obviously people aren’t allowed to go close anymore, but I don’t see how they are stopping them?)
