Opinion polls this year have also indicated flagging enthusiasm among Poles for state assistance to the large Ukrainian population in Poland.
Warsaw passed a law in September limiting financial support for Ukrainian citizens in Poland by making payouts dependent on recipients being in work.
Simmering historical tensions have also resurfaced between the two countries in recent months, with Warsaw and Kyiv disagreeing over how to mark the role of Ukrainian nationalists in the World War Two-era massacres of Polish civilians in what is today eastern Poland and western Ukraine.
The latest IBRiS survey was conducted from October 10 to 13 for Wirtualna Polska, with a sample of 1,000 respondents.
Who would believe logic, facts, statistics or fact check information? It’s much easier to believe the human instinct that keeps whispering to you that everyone who’s any different is just evil.
Give russian propaganda and covert ops more time and it will turn allies into enemies.
Who would’ve thought that Poles would be fed up with this mandatory love…
I’m shocked!
Many people supported Ukraine only because they were scared of war. Now when it’s unlikely that Ukraine is going to collapse they’re looking for reasons why we shouldn’t support them.
Another russian propaganda. The Russians have always been successful in pitting us against each other. It’s their tool for managing other nations. The vast majority of Ukrainians blend in well with the Polish. The extreme right wing uses hate as a tool for power. Unfortunately, there are many Russian agents within it.
It is sad to see our governments inaction to hybrid war, which is Russian propaganda all over the social media. It’s even worse than just inaction – some politicians use this propaganda to their advantage, trying to get useful idiots’ votes.
I see russian propaganda is working well. Shit.
PIMP has something to do with it
I am one of those people. Mind you I wish these relations were better, but that isn’t possible with our right wing government and far right president.
This is what Russkis love and hardly work on achieving the goal.
One must add that the Ukrainian government significantly helped to worsen the situation.
Denying despite evidence that it was Ukrainian AA rocket that killed a Polish man in Przewodów (instead of simply apologising, Poles can be swayed by simple gestures), attacking Poland for protecting our farmers, even comparing us to Russia in the UN.
Sadly, Ukraine has an even worse diplomacy than we. It’s quite an endevour to get to this rather chilly point when a few years ago we wanted a full-blown strategic partnership
Did Kyiv not pay attention to all the headlines of Ukrainians in Poland this year. Group caught kidnapping Africans it was smuggling for ransom. Desecration of Volhyn memorial. Bandera flag in Poland soccer stadium. There is ALOT more where that came from. And I get that these are paid actors sometimes- but they are also responsible for their actions not just Russia. If anything it shows how weak their allegiance is to Poland, that they would rather see it destroyed too. Not only that- Zelensky makes no mention of these things nor an apology. He should be making a national address and requesting his people to stop doing this!! Tell your people, to monitor yourselves because you are destroying your image to your partners!
E*I am going to be clear here- I don’t expect something like that to work much, but I do expect a leader to at least TRY. Even trying matters in my book but if you can’t show even common courtesy and apologise then relations will sour…
Also, the survey doesnt say why- but given the list of things I said, I’m willing to bet Kyiv won’t want to mention it…
This could never have anything to do with like, you know, the actions of the current Ukrainian administration.

Ukranian fatigue is a thing
Totally earned. An policitans in Poland really helped.
Everyone is saying that it is Russian propaganda working, but the truth is, that the Polish-Ukrainian relations were never this “good, literally even few years back it was grecce-tourkey type of hate
no offence but you act as though it’s not your fault 😭😭😭
The whole situation feels very distorted/skewed. Poland’s reaction to Ukrainians is literally a copy of Western Europe’s reaction against Poles. Together we are strong. To do as some here, in this thread, imply that a cashier at the local grocery store would be worse just because they are Ukrainian instead of Polish, is laughable.
When Western Europeans call Poles alcoholic car thieves, perhaps you should reflect on how you speak about Ukrainians.
Edit: Holy shit there is a lot of bots in here.
Remember, recently one bot farm got busted and 7 people got arrested.
This SINGLE farm managed 50’000’000 (50 million) accounts.
And that’s a small drop in that thing.
Absolutely infested internet. Like the whole internet.
Actions specifically designed to enrage poles.
Literally Russian assets pretending to be Ukrainians demolishing polish monuments. One time it got called out because they used accidentally Russian grammar. How many times it flew under the radar?
Add to that domestic politics which really benefits from pointing to supposed enemies.
If anything I’m surprised it’s working that slowly. But it is working and nobody does nearly enough about it

Obviously not a kremlin bot /s
Russian agitprop seems to be doing well, in Poland. That’s not good.
That’s what happens when the goverment doesn’t do anything about Russia waging an information war
Ukraine’s relationship with many countries is worsening lately, especially the Visegrad countries. With Poland it’s even comparably good.
Maybe it has to do with Ukrainian Nazis slaughtering 100,000 Poles and then naming streets after the butchers in Kiev
