The chair of the Renew Europe group in the European Parliament, Valérie Hayer, stated that Slovakia deserves leaders who see the country’s future in progress and whose values are firmly rooted in Europe’s democracy. “Progressive Slovakia is mobilised to reforming the country’s economy, strengthening a vibrant and independent civil society, and ensuring a professional Parliament that serves the national interest,” said Hayer. “Slovakia does not need a government that submits to powers from the East. Renew Europe stands with all those who choose openness, progress, and a truly European path, in the founders spirit,” added Hayer.
