As long as the tax loopholes for the rich are still there, it’ll be OK.

These constant posts about what x may or may not do is the worst part of the budget.
They should put up capital gains tax rather than going after actual earned income.
Great photo they picked there.
Truth is either way we’re fucked multiple times over, from the mess left by the pandemic, by Brexit, and by the poisoning of the well by the Tories in desperate attempts to minimize their losses in the last election. Not that I’m offering the latter as an excuse for Labour, but it seems very easily forgotten by the majority based on polling. But surely all the parties need to start being honest that in the current economy you need tax rises if you want to maintain functioning public services.
If this does go through, something like this should be enough to go back to the polling booths. And this goes for any party.
They are effectively stealing votes through their dishonesty. There is far too much of it in politics and it is just allowed. They can say whatever they wish and then come back with “ah, but I didn’t say Simon says”.
It’s disgusting behaviour and it should be stamped out for good.
However, the swine know they can get away with it and they will continue to say whatever they wish to get the power they crave.
What did Anas Sarwar know and when?
The Chancellor has effectively announced tax rises. Why do we now need to wait 3 weeks to find out what they are?!
The concept of today’s press conference was stupid.
