I bought a pair of aspiration jeans when I started my diet journey back in March. The waist size is 8 inches smaller than when I started and they fit!
Today I will be celebrating with a coffee and cake and not logging my calories
Has anyone else had wins this
Week?

Called the RAC to complain about my renewal cost going from £65 to £120 per year and got it down to just £75 per year. 10 minute call, win win.
I won £200 on the Premium Bonds
My bank balance is a positive number 🥳
Happy Guy Fucks day!
I’ve sorted a dilemma that was worrying me about Christmas. My dad died earlier this year and my mum was telling me not to visit for Xmas as she didn’t want my partner to be on his own. She gets on well with my partner. She’s in a different part of the country.
My partner is telling me to spend it with mum as he wishes he’d spent more time with his folks before they died. I don’t particularly want to be away from my partner but he can manage perfectly well without me and has insisted I go, even though I feel guilty. We can’t all be in same house due to difficult pets, space and mum’s health problems.
Anyway, I’ve got my mum to stop arguing with me about it and I’ve booked my train tickets now. I’m relieved it’s all sorted.
Congratulations OP u/Coffin_Dodging ! 8 inches is massive! That must be around 2 stones or so off of you, at least. Incredible work in just a few months!
My win is that I managed to get a much-needed GP appointment for Friday with relative ease! I’m also enjoying a lovely cup of tea as I type this, so all is well with the world.
Edit: I kept hitting the wrong keys
I’ve got today off as i’m having to fit in holidays before the end of the year. I tend to book Monday or Friday off but the middle of the week feels like it breaks things up nicely.
Just weighed myself and have lost nearly a stone and a half in just under two months. Less than a stone to go to reach my goal. Hoping to get there by Christmas. If I keep going at the same rate I’ll get there sooner but will keep my expectations in check. Happy to go slow and steady.
Day off, kid is back from uni, we are going to spend the day batch cooking stuff for him to take back to uni
Last three days of work before I move to Toulouse!!!
Asked for a pay rise on Monday – got told from December it will be implemented, around a 20% increase. Which I know damn well I deserve.
Had my flu jab. Was called in, injection done, and out again, before my appointment time.
After about a month of being unemployed after being made redundant. I finally have a job to go into ☺️
I’ve been going insane in the past month, been bored out of my mind.
My PhD thesis supervisor was genuinely happy with the plan I made for my introduction. Felt amazing
I pulled off a really smooth bay park infront of a scaffolding team earlier.
Down 2lbs as of this morning.
Yes.
💪🏻
Finally going in for complete jaw surgery today, call that a win? Hoping for the best of course
Got a ton of sleep and feel recovered from the worst flu of my life!
Well done on the jeans fitting! Enjoy your coffee and cake 🙂
It’s not technically my win but my partner got a new job yesterday! He’s been looking since he got made redundant in June and I know it was starting to get to him a bit, so I’m absolutely thrilled for him and super proud.
Also my quiz league team won again last night (with a very high score over an opposing team who are pushing for promotion) – that’s three on the bounce now so not too shabby! And I’ve got Friday off to go to a gig with some friends which I’m really looking forward to as well.
20 years after becoming suspicious something wasn’t right – a diagnosis of ADHD last month, and the subsequent medication feels like it’s lifted a suitcase off my shoulders that I didn’t realise I was carrying
Managed just under 5km on a run today which isn’t a big run for me (half marathon soon!) but I’ve been injured and busy which is a horrible combination for running. Anyway, the run didn’t hurt at all so woohoo!
Also my passport is out for delivery which means I get to hand in my notice at work soon- even more woohoo!
My wife got induced yesterday, and after a long wait through the night we’re finally on a delivery suite. Hopefully we’ll be meeting our son today!
Puppy has done 2 outside poos today already.
That’s better than yesterday’s record of 2 inside poos and a tantrum.
I gained weight this week which sucks but I have been running regularly and enjoying it too so thats a win. Plus im still 10st down overall
i have impoverished myself, but i have new thigh highs and a shitload of x54r.
i love the svt way more than i should
Starting a new job beginning of December and today’s my last day at my current job. I didn’t save up my AL or anything so it’s unpaid, but yay to almost a month off!
i feel like absolute shit, so working from home, but i someone went to the shop for me and i asked for some paracetamol, they came back with Panadol and Nurofen
Got my car booked in to have the brakes looked at on Saturday and a guy booked to dig a channel around the DPC a week on Friday when I’ve got leave booked. Things have been busy and stressful lately but at last it feels like things are happening
Had a funny turn last night and passed out, smacking my head on the bathroom door. Spent 6hrs in a&e getting checked out as I’m a cancer patient and on blood thinners. CT came back clean thankfully, just a lovely bruise on my forehead. Today I’ve had two phone calls from my oncology team making sure I’m ok, which is really nice, makes you feel cared about. Bless the NHS, and thank you to everyone who works so hard for their patients 💙
Estate agent just contacted me to say we should be able to complete on our forever home late November or early December.
Really wanted it done before Xmas so this is great news and gives us a decent buffer of a few weeks in case things hold it up.
