Found this kind of interesting. Blick doesn't exactly have the best reputation for quality journalism in Switzerland, but I personally never realised they had exported the brand abroad.
Interesting timing for this sale too in the run-up to the Hungarian elections. Interesting (and in this case quite sad) to see the international impact of some Swiss business decisions.

Billionaires do love their authoritarian governements.
Though at the same time, authoritarian governements love to take over press.
They already own almost all of the media, if you wanted to be well informed, you didn’t get the news from Blick. And they are just started to use AI fake videos and pictures to blackmail the opposition, this campaign will be one of the most brutal in Europe in this decade…
And a Swiss oil company (created by a Russian billionaire) just bought Lukoil from Russia. So Lukoil was sold to an old friend of Putin? Blikk was always quite anti-Orban, and got into political themes, depite being a tabloid, so no wonder it’s been in their crosshair for a takeover for several years now. It is in the hands of Orban’s oligarchs circle now, like vast majority of the media outlets.
For me it’s yet another segment of “good news about my place of birth”, this time around from Switzerland..
Blikk also has a bad reputation in Hungary, full of stupid celebrity/skandal/uninteresting articles for bored people who don’t have a life. Who also are overlapping great with Orban’s / fidesz’s supporter base… So it will be another great propaganda tool with high reach – after they acquired most of the mediums in Hungary :/
