Rich people shit
He looks like a clone of the original Tom Brady’s scrotum
That kinda thing always creeped me out. I just lost my beloved cat of 13 years, but even if I had the money to clone her I would never do it. She lived her life, and making some reconstruction of her would feel horribly wrong.
To be fair, [it’s not the original Tom Brady either](https://youtu.be/OoyQCzp2lG0?si=huXKzRNtdtoJ3NVa)
I’ve said this before but Tom Brady is football Tom Cruise.
Insanely talented and the biggest star you’ll ever see but my god is he a fucking lunatic. You respect him, you appreciate his commitment to his craft but you never ever want to hear him say anything that’s not related to his profession for fear of what insanity will come of it
I can see the appeal to wanting to clone a beloved pet, but I personally question whether this is a mentally healthy thing to do (or even ethical, given how many dogs are looking for a home). I know that we tend to be creatures of habit, and find solace in repetition. I recently lost my dog and while I was devastated, I don’t think it would personally be healthy for me to try to “replace” him with the exact same kind of dog. In my case, I believe it’s mentally healthier to get a new breed so I’m not constantly relying on comparisons, lengthening that feeling of loss and healing my heart-break. Perhaps I’m very wrong about this, but isn’t having the same, over and over, ultimately detrimental to our growth?
The Rehearsal. IYKYK
So poor coping skills letting go? Sounds like Tom Brady
We should all know less about each other.
Literally the 6th Day
This how it starts… RePet…. Before you know it we’ll have 2 Arnold’s running around causing hyjinks
My chihuahua died 3 years ago and I think about her all the time, but I don’t know if I would do this even if I had the resources. It feels wrong and an insult to the original.
There’s so many great already living dogs out there. Why not give them a chance instead?
I didn’t realize Tom Brady was that pathetic. Just get a new dog bro. There are so many out there to love and have new experiences with.
This is obviously some serious mental health issues happening here. I feel sad for him because of this but also…dude pull yourself together. How you gonna have this much money and not fix yourself?
How about getting a dog from the pound and feeling good about it..
He is so fucking weird.
I mean, definitely don’t rescue or an adopt another dog in need. That would be too reasonable and kind. Rich people are gross af.
He’s so fucking weird.
Idk why, cloned animals weird me out. I love my girl. If anything I wish she could have had puppies so there’s be future generations related to her.
But I wouldn’t clone her. It wouldn’t be her. All the experiences and things we went through together shaped her personality. Made her the dog she is.
I’d rather adopt another dog and give it a home. If anything at this point I thought about adopting a puppy so she can kinda raise it and it can, in a way, be a part of her.
Or im just stoned as hell and who gives af.
After recently losing my 12 year old dog, I’m having a hard time thinking about getting another pup that looks vaguely like her.
Even with a clone, they won’t be raised the same, it’s not going to be the same dog. I dunno, this is weird and I hate it. Donate that money to a shelter.
There are so many wonderful animals needing homes. This shit makes me so mad
Its not the same dog tho what’s the point
I had a coworker who cloned his living Scottish fold cat, but the process yielded 2 extra clone copies some how, not just 1 clone lol
He had to get rid of one of the cloned cats but i cant remember why
I forget where I heard it, maybe a podcast. Some guy was talking about how his family would get the same breed of dog and give it the same name every time one died. Not quite the same but still just as weird.
spending a bunch of money cloning a dog when there are thousands of dogs waiting for homes in shelters is sick, delusional behaviour
This one looks a little deflated.
So many animals in shelters.
Add this one to the pile of evidence that Tom Brady is a complete psychopath
I get loving your dog so much, but besides genetically, it will never be the same dog beyond the breed traits.
So many amazing dogs who need a home and he thinks this is what he should spend his money on.
I lost a dog a couple months ago and I loved that lil dude with all my heart yet I couldn’t imagine doing this. Like the whole time you’re living with that clone it has to feel weird, right? You know it isn’t *actually* the same dog even if it looks the same. It would just make me feel weird and terrible. The actual original life of the dog is gone. You’ve just gone and replaced it with a new one that looks the same. How many more times will you do this before reality sets in and you realize you’re not allowing yourself to move on and finish the grieving process?
The same …but slightly deflated.
We adopted a 10 year old Pomeranian from a no kill shelter and she gave me the best 3 years of my life. Adopting and rescuing pets is the way to go if possible.
Can’t say I wouldn’t do it if I had the wealth. Ethics be damned. Probably a good thing I’ll never have the money.
Obviously doesn’t pay enough taxes
That’s just sick and disturbing 😳 you can’t replace the “original ” dog with a clone. Let your poor beautiful dog rest in peace. Theirs plenty of other rescue pups out there to give a home too. I knew this guy was a good quarterback but he’s definitely a very sick dude!!! Can you imagine cloning him OMG 😲 just listening to him on Fox sports is bad enough!
Meanwhile, back at the shelter…
Creepy and lame.
This is just weird
Bro never read Pet Sematary
I sympathize with missing a pet that is gone, and I’d give anything to see my boy again. The fact is, when I get another pet, it will be through adoption. Too many animals exist without someone to love them for me to just CLONE a dog. Every animal deserves love. Go to your local shelter and make an animal happy!
A quick google search told me that “Approximately 5.8 million dogs and cats entered shelters in 2024”.
If only millionaires were actually taxed… Could use that money for good, but no, we get a clone of his fucking dog.
This is interesting, but it really creeps me out. Just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. It seems mentally unhealthy.
What isn’t show are the tragic results of failed attempts at cloning. This is a sick practice.
You know what. I get it.
It’s insane but I get it.
Sometimes, dead’s bettah.
I lost my Charlie of 14 years exactly one month ago, and ngl, my knee jerk reaction is if I had the money, I’d do it but then I remember that we grew up together and he was the dog he was through our adventures. It would never be the same.
I miss you buddy.
