I was out walking today in a T-shirt. Still got a sweat on. It’s really humid and mild out there.
Yes, it’s going to be 4 degrees at night next Friday.
When I was trying to sleep last night I could hear birds singing – the kind you’d hear on a spring or summer morning. They must have been confused.
Edinburgh here and the heating has been on the last few evenings
Really weird for November if you discount the last 5 or 6 years.
It’s my fault, I bought two new winter coats in September.
Why is everyone acting like this is all that weird? Last year there were days in December that had 12-13°C average temperature and highs in the 15s/16s.
Average for December in 2013 was 7.2°C, average for December 2024 was 7.6°C. Not a huge increase.
Edit: Checking historic data, looks like the average temperature in the 1950s was about 6°C, in case anyone is curious.
I’m hoping this mild entry into winter doesn’t mean we’re in for a long, grim, drawn out end to it.. though I fear that might be wishful thinking 🥲

If you were here in Scotland the past couple of weeks then yes, we have already been cold.
We’re just going through a spot of high pressure and before you know it, it’ll be back down again..

It’s way too humid I absolutely hate it. Was literally saying today it feels like March or something.
No matter how cold it gets in Glasgow, some lads will still be taps aff and wearing shorts and wee flip flops.
Hopefully not , and if it does you better listen up because the path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men…..

I’ve been wearing shorts and a t-shirt still and it’s bloody wonderful! I hate long trousers and warmer clothing.
Sadly it has to come at the cost of gradually killing our planet, but hey! I’m slightly more comfortable!

Im originally from a hot country so 13c still feels cold for me. Although funny enough, I prefer the cold to the heat. Grass is always greener im guessing.
