Is this how the Fritz Box is supposed to be plugged in to the fiber thing in our power box? It seems wrong because I can’t shut the door if I plug the power cord into the outlet inside the box or in an outlet down by the floor. I haven’t seen how anyone else has this set up in their apartments.

I’ve got a similar setup so I took the door off (there were some clips on the hinges to remove it). For me it was because my ethernet cables terminate in that cupboard too. Added benefit of letting me move my router up higher to avoid blocking my WiFi.

Just remove the two screws and put the power outlet + the metal sheet further to the back? Or even remove the metal sheet. Would not look as „clean“ but then you can close the door?
The power outlet is placed very unconvenient. If you don’t want to replace or unscrew it, this might help:

is the fritzbox supposed to stay inside the cupboard afterward?
if yes then that’s weird because the door is probably made of metal and is going to block basically all of the wifi signal.
