Man pleads guilty to role in violent Malta pipe wrench death

A man pleaded guilty Wednesday to first-degree manslaughter for his role in a violent pipe wrench attack last year.

Cyrus Tetreault fatally attacked Brian Miller in Malta.

Tetreault’s attorney claimed self-defense, saying Miller tried to attack both Tetreault and his girlfriend with a hatchet, and another person had a knife.

Sentencing is scheduled for January 21, 2026, at 10:00 a.m.
