  2. US soldiers are not eligable to access German food banks. It was likely removed because it is not usable guidance.

    Trump took $200 million to make a gilded ballroom for himself, while stationed US soldiers are now without food. 

  3. During the late 1940s Soviet blockade of West Berlin, the US used aircraft to bring food to the people of Berlin. Now the US won’t permit food for Americans stationed in Germany.

  7. I think what blows my mind is that the government even has the audacity to tell troops to even ask a foreign nation for food assistance. This administration is saying “illegal” aliens and “criminals” are abusing SNAP benefits. We just bailed out a country that most likely won’t pay us back, and we are telling our troops to ask another country for food. Trump is for the troops, my ass.

  8. now is when it’s funny to mention to MAGA friends and family about the “Pay Our Military Act (H.R. 3210)” Obama signed into law in 2013 to make sure the Military was fed during possible shutdowns.

  9. I dont live far away from a base in Bavaria. I would love to invite some of our friends for supper or bring them food. It would be an honour for me because the GIs threated my dad very well after ww2. He was Born 1940 in munich. GIs gave him choclate and chewing gum from their Tanks when he was a young child. He remembers this Till today. That and the Ruins that once was his neighbourhood back then.

  12. Couldn’t the garrison feed soldiers and their families in the mess? Aren’t soldiers trained for emergencies – like wars?
