Kremlin pushes AI videos of Ukrainian troops “giving up” near Pokrovsk. Accounts spreading the content show signs of a coordinated network created specifically to promote Russian narratives among foreign audiences.

There is indeed a large uptick in the Russian psy-op right now, Putin is more desperate than at any point before.
If they can just make enough people believe all is lost, they can perhaps change the reality.

Yes, we noticed.
I honestly don’t know what they expect to achieve. Can’t win a war shitposting. They’re wasting money that could go to weapons so it’s ok I guess.
The more they push bullshit, the more they are freaking out.
King Trump will believe all this AI BS.
Propaganda and truth are very vague concepts, specially at war time.
What I don’t get is: how possibly , a large part of russians don’t understant that if information is not free, there is no possible “truth”.
If some people go to jail (or worse) because of an opinion , it means that the official information cannot be trustable.
In other words, there is no reliable source of information. Only way to get closer to the truth, is having multiple independant sources and then you get a chance.
Why many russians don’t understand this basic principle ?!
(I don’t mean that if information is free, then you get the truth. I just mean: if it’s not free you won’t get any thruth).
In reality all it shows is Russia’s desperation and failure
Argentina tried this tactic during the Falklands War. “We’re winning! We’re winning! On hang on, we’ve just surrendered.” The Junta then collapsed.
History repeats itself.
This scrap appeared on You Tube amongst with a whole lot of Nazi-and AfD-desinformatiion some days ago. That‘s worrying
They even left the Sora watermark on the videos.
Fucking savages.
The funny thing is that the fact that Russia resorted to AI-generated videos somehow gives me a little bit of hope for the situation in Pokrovsk.
I feel like all the world’s dictators are staring at the long tail of the social media revolution that brought them to power. Early on it is easy to distract with shiny distractions, and then the reality that the consequences of those actions begins to set in.
