They need to spent signifcant time in prison for attempted murder. Not just to serve justice for their acts of terror, but to send a message to the dozens of other scumbags acrosss the country that we wont accept the sort of society they are trying to create through intimidation.
My immediate, cynical thought is whether these two were “known to the Gardaí” as the refrain goes.
I also wonder if all those bigots espousing protests and hostility towards migrants, under the guise of apparent concern over “military aged men”, are now covering their asses on social media. Oh we didn’t mean it go _that_ far, guys.
No charges brought yet, nothing about evidence against them. But people calling them scumbags, want the book thrown at them. Proper “get someone, anyone for this crime” attitude.

This is an act of terrorism. They should be charged as such.

Hope they get charged with attempted murder and domestic terrorism in addition to arson.

Oh do you mean the Illuminati, Antifa Gardai, or the local people who’ve peacefully protested and then decided to throw caution to the wind and burn people out of their homes who burned the IPAS centre? I’m getting confused on who the racists are blaming it on at the moment.
Their solicitor in a few weeks “Sir my client is from a good family and was feeling a bit stressed that day. It was a moment of madness and completely out of character. He is very apologetic and has brought €200 to compensate the children he tried to burn. He does have several prior convictions and no work history, but he is committed to turning his life around and is due to start an apprenticeship on Monday”
Judge: “okay I will give him a chance, but I am suspending his sentence for 12 months and if he tries to burn any families in that time period he will be facing some very cross words from me”
I really felt for the families in the IPAS centres. People are reading the disinformation on social media and repeating it back without understanding it. There is no context to what any of these far right groups say . The only way to really sort this is a custodial sentence and cut any welfare entitlements they have and if they work put in a charge on their wage. This money can be used to help in housing people on council waiting lists.
Throw the library at them,, preferably from above
The people who did this need to have the full force of the law and the highest possible conviction to the biggest appropriate charges. The other dumb fucks who are potential future offenders need to get the massage that they will not be accepted in society. Anyone egging them on needs to also face consequences
