  1. This has to be enabled by recent advances in micro inverters, right? A major bottleneck of a rooftop system is that the DC output has to be converted into a suitable AC current which is *directly sync’d to the grid*. This isn’t a huge cost for a 4 kW system, but it’s not insignificant. But the act of synchronization itself isn’t that trivial.
