So, I recently moved and went online to NDLS to change my address and when I got the new license it had changed my place of birth from Northern Ireland to United Kingdom.
I changed no other details in my personal records, only my address (from Kilkenny to Tipperary).
Is this a new policy, is this something that I can demand to be changed?
When they issued my wife’s passport they changed her place of birth from UAE to India, and changed her surname to a dot.
She told them about it, and they sent out a new one – with the exact same issue.
That’s not your nationality, it’s your place of birth. Much like how cars from the UK travelling in Europe must have a “UK” sticker and not a “GB” one, it seems UK is used now rather than GB or NI.

Soon it might just say Ireland.
