Miss Universe contestants walk out in protest

You’re seeing the moment’s contestants walked out of an event in protest. So, look at this here. Apparently, the organizer for the um an executive, I should say, for Miss Universe called Miss Mexico dumb. He alluded to her being dumb for not following through on an obligation. So, look at this. He had her removed from a pre-sash ceremony. And look, the other women stood up and were basically like, “No way.” They left. They walked out. The organization’s president is standing by the contestants, standing by the women, and blasting the member of that host committee. Miss Mexico herself, Fatima Bosch, says on social media, “I just want to let my country know I’m not afraid to make my voice heard.

  1. The comment section seems to not have heard the "not following through her obligation", comment section might be dumb and dumber

  2. Agree, disrespectful to call someone dumb but context is important.
Background info: Gambling is illegal in Thailand and so are advertisements and similar activities for gambling.

    Quick Google shows:
Members of the Miss Universe Organisation allegedly instructed several candidates to pose with a pillow featuring the logo of the Philippine-based online casino, Playtime. Organisers are instructing the contestants to break local laws and the contestants themselves willingly (but maybe not wittingly) complied with Miss Mexico supposedly being a known participant in the advertisement.

  3. How come when these news crews post something it’s always them talking inserting a narrative over the people.. I’d watch if y’all actually show the clips instead of narrating your story.. can I watch and make my own options?

  4. Apparently he had some kind of role running or financing the event, and as as ‘reward’ he wanted to go for dinner with one of the contestants. He was berating Miss Mexico for not applying (via social media) to enter that competition.
    Yuk yuk yuk yuk.
Also bear in mind the horrendous misogyny in Korea and the age gap!! Bro must be 45.

  5. Loved how miss Palestine walked out confidently. Thank you, beautiful. That's what we, women, want you to do. To speak for us. Say no to any form of abuse.
