Central Greece is bringing winter sports to the heart of its cities this November with the launch of the “Sterea Snow Camp: Ski 4 All”, inviting residents and visitors to discover skiing and the region’s winter attractions.
Home to Mount Parnassos – Greece’s largest winter destination – and the Karpenissi Ski Center, the Region of Central Greece aims to strengthen its position as a leading international winter tourism hub.
The Snow Camp introduces children and adults to skiing basics on specially designed beginner dry slopes, guided by experienced, certified instructors.
“Sterea Snow Camp 2025 gives everyone the opportunity to learn through free lessons from certified instructors — and most importantly, on slopes set up in the city center,” said Central Greece Governor Fanis Spanos.
Organized with the municipalities of Lamia, Chalkida and Livadia, the camp will follow this schedule:
Saturday, November 15 – Livadia: Lambrou Katsoni Square, 10am–1pm & 6pm–9pm
Saturday, November 22 – Chalkida: Agios Nikolaos Square/Pier, 10am–1pm & 6pm–9pm
Includes the parallel activity “The Lesson of the Mountain”, focused on climbing and mountaineering.
Saturday, November 29 – Lamia: Eleftherias Square, 10am–1pm & 6pm–9pm
In addition to the main events, instructors will visit elementary schools across the region, offering short demonstrations on small plastic surfaces to introduce students to skiing and its equipment.
