She walked up and she had a little coin purse with a zipper on it and she unzipped it and just dumped all the coins in it. I guess not knowing that the ring was inside. Sarah Darling was distracted after a busy day shopping and getting her family ready for a road trip. Probably about an hour away from home when I realized it. Billy Ray Harris noticed the ring in his cup, but thought it was a fake. He asked a jeweler just to be sure. He said, “All I can tell you, if you want to sell it, I’ll give you $4,000 for it right now. No questions asked.” By the time Sarah returned, Billy Ray was gone. But holding on to a shred of hope. She went back to the same spot the next day and there he was. I just pulled up my car and got out really quick and ran up to him. And I’m like, I don’t know if you remember me, but I gave you something that was really precious to me. And he’s like, “Was it a ring?”
