WANA (Nov 07) – Seyed Abdul-Malik Badr al-Din al-Houthi, leader of Yemen’s Ansarallah movement, warned that enemies are attempting to portray the Iran-Israel conflict as if Arabs have no role.

Speaking online at the 34th National Arab Conference in Lebanon, al-Houthi said Israel, with U.S. support, seeks to impose control over regional territories while blaming the oppressed parties who have legitimate rights.

“Over the past two years, the enemy has tried to neutralize weapons that protect Lebanon and prevent enemy control over Gaza,” al-Houthi said.

He added that adversaries are attempting to distort Iran’s role in supporting Arabs, presenting the situation as a purely Iran-Israel dispute that excludes Arab involvement.

“Portraying the Iran-Israel conflict without considering Arab participation is the most superficial and incorrect argument, ignoring clear facts,” he stressed.

Al-Houthi highlighted that Israel’s stated goal is to implement the “Greater Israel” plan, with Gaza-supporting fronts playing a crucial role in countering this agenda. He noted that Hezbollah, through its stability, effective participation, and sacrifices, has been at the forefront of these support fronts.

The leader also pointed to the role of Yemeni forces in supporting the Palestinian people: “Over the past two years, the Yemeni army has conducted a total of 1,830 operations in support of Gaza, including ballistic and cruise missile attacks, drone strikes, and naval operations,” he said.

Regarding maritime operations, al-Houthi stated that Yemeni forces targeted 228 enemy vessels, forcing Israel to close the port of Eilat in southern occupied Palestine for two years, causing significant economic losses.

In response to U.S. aggression, he said the Yemeni army shot down 22 MQ-9 drones and engaged five aircraft carriers and their accompanying fleets, forcing them to withdraw from the battlefield.

Al-Houthi also noted that over the past two years, the U.S. and Israel have carried out approximately 3,000 airstrikes on Yemen.
