The Belarusian Ministry of Agriculture and Food has announced the completion of the 2025 potato harvest. According to ministry data, large agricultural enterprises produced 675,000 tons of potatoes, exceeding the 2024 target by 125,000 tons.
The ministry reported that yields were higher than last year, attributing the outcome to the use of improved agricultural technologies and favorable growing conditions. The volume harvested this season exceeds domestic market demand, ensuring sufficient reserves for winter consumption while supporting expanded processing and export opportunities.
A similar production trend has been observed in other vegetable categories, where output from agricultural organizations and farms has also surpassed domestic requirements.
All regional administrations in Belarus exceeded their potato production targets compared to 2024. Final production figures will be updated once data from smaller agricultural enterprises and peasant farms are submitted.
According to preliminary ministry estimates, contributions from this segment could add a further 270,000 tons to total national potato output.
