Maltese pop sensation AIDAN is officially making his long-awaited return to the Malta Eurovision Song Contest 2026, two years after his fan-favourite entry Reġina captivated audiences across the island.
In a heartfelt message shared on his social media, the chart-topping artist opened up about his renewed sense of purpose and creative evolution, declaring he’s “more prepared, more certain, and more determined” than ever before to take Malta back to the Eurovision stage. AIDAN wrote:
“For the past two years, I’ve lived and breathed music in a way I never have before. Writing, rewriting, chasing melodies at 3am, and pouring my heart into more than 45 song demos. Every lyric, every chord has been part of a bigger journey — one I wasn’t quite ready to share until now.”
The singer, known for his infectious melodies and energetic performances, reflected on how his connection with fans has shaped his return:
“In those moments, I realised something powerful: my music is no longer just mine. It belongs to all of us.”
AIDAN’s announcement sent waves of excitement through Malta’s music scene, with thousands of fans flooding social media to show their support. Fellow Maltese Eurovision icons — including Ira Losco, Sarah Bonnici, and Claudia Faniello — were quick to cheer him on. Ira Losco commented, “Best of luck! Let’s see you shine as you deserve!”
The 14-time number-one hitmaker has been one of Malta’s most consistent success stories in recent years, performing at the country’s biggest national events and headlining sold-out shows at the MFCC, Malta’s largest indoor venue.
But for AIDAN, Eurovision seems to represent something deeper — a shared dream.
“Malta’s Eurovision journey has been built on passion and resilience. “Maybe this is the moment we dare to achieve a great result again. The time to chase Malta’s dream, together.”
Whether this next chapter leads him to the Eurovision stage remains to be seen, but one thing is clear: AIDAN’s fire is back, and so is the hope of seeing Malta shine once more on Europe’s biggest stage.
