Inflation at its highest rate in 22 years Tags:ireland 7 comments Ok then. What’s gonna be done? The article only seems vague on it with ‘things must be done’ but what. What can be done. The government has been happy to play the sit and wait it out with everything from housing to health to inflation. So when do we finish waiting? A lb of own brand butter Christmas week was €2.19. Last week it was €2.39. Today in both Tesco and Lidl. It was €2.99. I can’t afford basic food anymore. We will all be living of waffles and chicken nuggets soon the rate food is going up. *Here comes the interest rates rise!* It’s OK It’s just transistory. Does this also mean that construction will slow down? Will there be high unemployment again? Thanks to whoever can answer this . It’s an absolute disgrace. *”Ain’t no stopping it now”* Leave a ReplyYou must be logged in to post a comment.
