China imported 11.23 million barrels per day of crude in October, up 830,000 b/d year on year but 110,000 b/d below September levels, according to Chinese customs data. For the first 10 months of 2025 as a whole, average imports of 11.20 million b/d were up 3.4% on a year earlier and nearly neck and neck with the record annual figure of 11.18 million b/d set in 2023.
