Infection control is a core aspect of the NHS. It has to take action to ensure that ill people are not made worse with those carrying an infection. The number of Covid carriers in the country is in the millions at the moment which exceeds any cold or Flu and its much more dangerous to the vulnerable. This is simply the NHS doing its job properly.
Hopefully they all refuse to acknowledge his existence.

If you come in with diarrhea, they’re going to stick you in isolation, and the cleaners are going to be using PPE. In some areas, like the South West, we have an older demographic in our hospitals, that do not cope well with covid. Patients that have to stay in hospital after surgery to recover. We have patients with COPD and other conditions, for whom a bad covid 19 invention would be deadly.
There’s no such thing as “covid restrictions” in a hospital. There’s infection control. And hospitals can and should do whatever the fuck they need to.
I can picture our execs rolling their eyes at this. Their stance has largely been to ignore shit like this that the government comes out with, and do whatever needs to be done. They’re not going to risk people dying because Javid made some clueless threat in the Telegraph.
Javid is a politically motivated ghoul – he began his tenure as health secretary saying he would learn. How long did that last – 2 months? Now he expects to tell the *National Health Service* what is best for public health.
