  1. Finland’s birth rate is plummeting. Right now the economy is absolute trash but even before this crisis native Finns had more reservations about childbearing than immigrants. Finland’s immigration policy should focus on attracting immigrants who want to start families compatible with Finnish values.

  2. The only card left for finnish politicians is immigration.

  3. It’s all nice words without substance until Finland can choose the immigrants it gets. Currently on average every immigrant is a net loss for the country, because for every highly educated person we get two that fail to contribute to society more than they take. EVERYONE loves and respects and immigrant that contributes, but Finland can’t even attract them at the moment, and I don’t blame them for not coming. And the bad ones I don’t want and that’s every citizens right. If the changes by the government make good immigrants feel even less welcome, sure I sympathize, it’s not meant to make their life harder but plug holes elsewhere.

  4. Täsmälleen samaa retoriikkaa kuin muissa länsimaissa, joissa kansan yhtenäisyys on tuhottu suhteettoman korkealla maahanmuutolla. Siinäpä se syykin tulikin. Väestönhallinnasta siinä on pohjimmiltaan kyse. Kun saadaan rivikansalaiset toistensa kimppuun, eliitti voi suhmuroida mitä tahansa.

  5. Finland has a bad reputation amongst foreigner experts because of the job market and this guy turned it to be because Finland is anti-immigant.

I hope Finland wakes up, because this is going to destroy Finland if we let people from outside dictate who we are or suppose to be.

  6. We lack of work/money, compared to population.

We need high intelligent&educated people for high level jobs

We need almost for free working people to low level work

For average..nope, mid-low, mid-high..nope and nope, those have 500-1000 applicants per 1 job, do we need more unemployed people being miserable here, nope…
