It was built in 1601 in a small town by (I assume) local townsfolk, using relatively primitive building techniques and materials. It’s wonderful that it has been standing and looking nice for over 400 years now.

I didn’t know they had such good cameras in 1601.
Present-day dutchman/woman probably could not fit through that door.
Not expecting to Schoorl on here! My family is from Schoorl. My great great great grandfather was the mailman/town crier for Schoorl and worked in this building. The village was heavily damaged during the Anglo Russian invasion during the Napoleonic Wars. Which probably led to my family moving to America.

Is this town hall as tiny as I think it is?
