FIFA U-17 World Cup/ Austria Beat Mali, Burkina Faso Defeat Czech Republic

Doha, November 08 (QNA) – Austria beat Mali 3-0 in their second Group L match of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2025 at Mohammed Ghanem Stadium in Aspire Complex today.

Johannes Moser, Hasan Deshishku, and Niklas Dotzlhofer scored for Austria in the 36th, 61st, and 90+5th minutes, respectively.

With this victory, Austria secured their place in the next round, topping the group with six points from two wins. Mali remains in second place with three points.

In Group I, Burkina Faso edged past the Czech Republic 2-1 at the Badr Bilal Stadium.

Mohamed Zongo and Loukman Tapsoba scored for Burkina Faso in the 27th and 50th minutes, while Vit Skocken scored for the Czech Republic in the 30th minute.

Burkina Faso secured their first three points, bouncing back from their opening-round loss to the United States to move into second place. The Czech Republic, meanwhile, remain on three points after their 6-1 victory over Tajikistan, placing them third.

In Group K, Uganda and Chile played to a 1-1 draw at Mahmoud Soufi Stadium.

Chile took the lead through Bruno Torres in the 45th minute of first-half stoppage time (45+3), before Uganda equalized through Derrick Ssoz in the 90th minute of second-half stoppage time (90+3).

Both teams earned their first point. Chile sits in fourth place in the group after their 2-0 loss to France in the first round, while Uganda is in third place after their 2-1 defeat to Canada.

In the same group, France and Canada played to a goalless draw at Khalid Ballan Stadium. Each team raised its score to 4 points, with France in first place and Canada in second. (QNA)
