During the night of November 9, the Air Forces neutralized 34 of 69 Russian drones that attacked Ukraine. Strikes were recorded at nine locations.
According to the Air Forces command, the enemy deployed 69 attack drones of various types – Shahed, Gerbera and other models – from directions of Kursk, Millerovo, Orel and Primorsko-Akhtersk (Russia). About half of the drones were Shahed drones.
During the attack, air and missile defense, electronic warfare units, and Ukraine’s counter-drone defense systems repelled the assault.
Results and consequences of the night attack
According to preliminary data as of 09:00, the air defense destroyed or suppressed 34 Russian drones of the Shahed, Gerbera and other models in the north and east of the country.
As a result of this attack, strikes by 32 attack UAVs were recorded at nine locations, with debris falling on one territory.
The Air Forces clarified that several drones remain in Ukrainian airspace, continuing to maneuver.
Overall, the night event demonstrated the efficiency and capability of Ukrainian air defense in minimizing the impact on civilians and infrastructure.
