Perhaps it has been the systematic criticism and negative stories that the Daily Mail has been posting about the NHS and the GPs the past 5 years. But maybe it’s just because they want to work normal hours for slightly better money than a car salesman.
Simple answer is that they are working from home. They’ve been told to phone patients and just randomly give you what you want according to what you say. You might as well just Google it and tell the GP what you need.
Is the Daily Mail completely living in the past?
This is a question we have all been asking since the Tories introduced budget cuts as part of their austerity measures.
I hate the daily Mail. I am asking the same questions though.
Most are doing tele-appointments which in my experience has been great but could be worse for others.
A lot of GPs have cut back their hours as they have built up such a large pension pot that they cut back their hours to reduce their tax burden. Once your pension pot is more than £1.25m (which many GP exceed) the tax is quite high.
