All I hear is “I don’t like to be called rich”
I wouldn’t go as far as saying money makes you unhappy, but from what i see around me, money by itself absolutely does NOT bring happiness.
People very quickly pull up their bar/baseline and forget what it used to be like to be poor. They’re not blind to the lack of wealth of other people, but to them it feels more like how the average Belgian feels about a poor person in Africa: you feel bad abd a little guilty, but it also feels far away if you know what i mean.
And than you have the reality that alot of rich people are very busy, what makes them feel like they lack freetime. And when they do have a fancy vacation , they sometimes find it hard to let go/unwind.
Again, i’m not saying “feel sorry for rich guys”, it’s just that the truth is more nuanced. If you are relatively poor right now, and feel bad in some way, then chances are you won’t be miraculously happy when you get rich.
Next to Nord station? Don’t know if it’s possible to be hapoy there…
