Romania’s foreign trade deficit (ROTBAL=ECI) widened by 4.3% on the year to 24.492 billion euros ($28.56 billion) in January-September, the National Statistics Board said on Monday.
The September shortfall was 2.48 billion euros compared with 2.61 billion the previous month.
The Statistics Board said January-September CIF (cost/insurance/freight) imports were 96.667 billion euros, up 4.2% on the year, while exports were 72.175 billion, up 4.2%.
