  1. Not the first post I’ve seen like this – genuinely cannot get my head around how people would do this – This country is on it’s knees.

  2. downloaded the pic to show a friend and the pic is called Vodka80guy81 , sounds ideal to share my double bed with

We really are at breaking point for accommodation

Ive seen 3 beds houses with the front room converted to bedroom, up as 4 studio apartments with shared bathroom , with a kettle and microwave on an ikea coffee table in the room. 1200 euro per room

Greedy fucking cunts the lot of them

  3. I said it once on reddit and I’ll say it again I remember seeing a bed to rent in a kitchen I’m not exacerbating or making this more than it is…it was a bed literally in the middle of a kitchen in a flat in dun laoghaire for €800 a month and when I mean a bed in the middle of a kitchen I literally mean a double bed in the middle of the kitchen that was for rent for €800.
I wish I took a screenshot of it when I seen it but I didn’t but I can assure you about 4 years ago I did see that on daft

  4. Two men in a bed (unless you’re into that, which is grand) but what the hell. Random man rubbing off you, farting, touching himself and you while asleep. Poking you with his nocturnal stiffy. Then gets no better in the morning as he destroys the toilet and you have you unload 2 cans of Glade.
Id rather sleep in a skip.

  5. Is it just me, or does the shower look like it doesn’t have any floor. They just step in and FWOOP there’s another one gone. Keep the deposit and advertise the place again….

Seriously though, a double bed? Could they not at least get twin single beds (even though room sharing is bad enough).

  6. There’s a mobile home no bigger than a caravan up as a “3 bed apartment” in Newbridge on Daft for €1,200 at the moment. I have to believe some of these are piss takes.

  7. Can anyone who’s been in the city comment on what rental prices / quality were like back in the day? Was there a time when a normal / decent place was available on a regular salary? Has it always been this crazy?

  8. I’m waiting for the day where you have to pay to sleep hanging over a slack rope in a room of 45 fellas all coal smoke and dust and people shiting in a bucket, like in the mid 19th century.

Seriously though when do we starting rioting. For fucks sake.

  9. There’s an awful rent market in Luxembourg-city price-wise (kidney selling levels), but fuck at least they don’t stoop as low as this shit, you’d still be able to get a room to yourself.

The irish public service support is a joke: some of the offers I’ve seen are obscenely below health and safety standards, how are they even allowed/not checked?

And as they say from my are, hope all the money these scumbags are making are going towards medicines

  10. Sharing a bed, what is the fuck is this 1802.. Can i suggests the public invest in a gallows and start lining up politicians since we regressed back so far..

  11. Hi, sorry to drop in like this, I’m a nosy American. I just saw 2 posts in this subreddit back to back about sharing a bed like this. I don’t want to share a home with anyone else, let alone a room, and sure as hell not a bed lol is this a common thing? Am I just weirded out because of my dumb American culture?
    Signed,
