Getting Sick of this Now

  1. Young people have given up on broadcast TV so the BBC are now chasing the GB News watching demographic instead, as a sort of managed decline.

  2. I think the issue is that they weren’t mistakes, they were deliberate.

It’s not ok to excuse bias when it aligns with your perspective, if you’re against bias you’re against all of it.

  3. Trying to downplay deliberate misleading editing to misrepresent as “minor editing mistakes” is absolutely rediculous. The other part of your “meme” is also rediculous given the BBC are currently in another scandal over their Gaza documentry featuring a child of a Hamas leader – [https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c629j5m2n01o](https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c629j5m2n01o) .

  4. What an odd take. So despite being proved that they edited a speech to make it look like something else to put Trump in a bad light then pushed it to the world and your take is that it’s a couple of editing mistakes? Honestly the left will cling to anything, they’re supposed to be impartial. They aren’t, they can’t be trusted with anything

  5. Funny how both the left and right say the bbc is bias to the other side

  6. Pretty bad take here mate, stinks of cognitive dissonance and delusion

  7. Trump punishes people/countries/organisations who have “wronged” him. I would bet money Starmer pushed these people out to avoid new tariffs.

It wasn’t nearly a serious enough fuck up for these heads to roll given other scandals they’ve weathered.

  8. It was about the orange Nazi and he just brought England so the BBC will do as he says

  9. The hilarious irony is that Tim Davie is exactly the type of Tory plant Trump wants in the BBC

  10. Hardly a minor editing mistake, it was a blatant attempt to mislead the viewers.

As for “over platforming Farage” , well yes there are only 5 MPs sitting under the Reform banner, however all polls suggest he has a huge following and could potentially win the next election.

For the BBC to be fair and balanced it must platform Reform.

  11. The one time they try to make him look bad and they had to fake it? HE DOES IT EVERYDAY ALL BY HIMSELF.

  12. Relentless coverage of pro Brexit stuff with few counterpoints.

That interview of Ed Davey by Laura K.

Platforming climate change deniers in order to be “balanced” on the subject.

Other than Emily Maitlis, complete lack of holding politicians to account because they’re mates.

They just do not know what impartial means.

  13. I find it more annoying that the right-wing are outraged that the BBC have broken their own impartiality rules, while also getting their entire news supplied to them from media monopolies that have literally zero impartiality rules.

  14. I mean they did get caught red handed deliberately misrepresenting what the leader of another foreign power said. That’s not acceptable journalistic practice

  15. “A couple of minor editing mistakes”
    1. Calling men women – repeatedly,
    2. Commissioning Hamas’ propaganda wing to do a documentary,
    3. Claiming – without evidence – that an explosion at a hospital could only have been caused by Israel,
    4. Editing a speech to make someone say something they clearly hadn’t said,
    5. Jeremy Bowen.

  16. Minor editing mistakes 🤔 think weve found the editor of said minor editing mistakes 🙄

  17. They werent mistakes.

There was also no need; trump says and does enough bullshit without having to edit his speeches to make them look worse

  18. ‘Minor editing mistakes’ is a funny way of saying ‘doctoring footage to present a falsehood’.

I hate Trump as much as the next non-brain damaged person, but the BBC director stepped down almost certainly with pressure from the gov as a way to appease Trump – as he would have sued and would have certainly won.

You don’t need to fake stuff to prove Trumps a cunt, but they did.

  19. Take it from a professional editor who has worked in current affairs; they weren’t minor.

And, for the record, if there is one person I dislike even more than Davie…it’s Trump.

  20. Was crazy in their apology they said we just weren’t pro Israel enough! We were totally right to stop all the documentaries about Gaza!

  21. That’s the rule of being a “journalist” in the UK. Bias is fine, but only as long as it benefits the political right.

  22. “Mistakes”. Calling it that makes you sound so dishonest imo. Do you actually think they edited that way by mistake?

  23. A couple of mistakes?

They once interviewed a CONVICTED lesbian terf RAPIST (with MULTIPLE female victims) for an interview.

This… Individual… Said trans women transition to attack women in bathrooms. But a three second Google provides literally PROVABLE evidence that this does NOT happen… And proves that the interviewed person in LITERALLY the one doing the crimes!

They then aired the propaganda, from this rapist. A rapist who hates the vulnerable minority she’s attacking…

After uncountable complaints what did the BBC do?…they left the piece up and added a footnote saying the person interviewed might be biased.

That’s right… After you’ve read the biased piece, and formed an opinion based on the comments of a convicted rapist, you THEN get a footnote saying “[maybe don’t trust this, she might have an agenda. But… Form your belief on what we said, anyway.]”

Curse the BBC! They are getting innocent, vulnerable minorities killed.

  24. The funniest thing was on SKY some sort of “expert”, saying “they faked the speech”. FAKED!? i.e. trumpsterfck didn’t say what he did? Or that he said all that, it just wasn’t clear, the speech was something like 45 minutes long incoherent victimhood ramblings and they simply did the highlights from the speech that made abundantly clear that trumpstershit instigated insurrection (which he DID).

The irony is that SKY is not any better, owned by Murdoch and on top of that they called as if they “faked” something, whereas at worst it was edited to represent what it was – a call for insurection.

And yes… indeed it is ironic that they foudnd trumpserfck speach to be the problem out of many problems with BBC bias.

  25. They purposefully edited a Trump speech to make it sound worse than it was (which was hilariously stupid, it was bad to begin with). This wasn’t a mistake, it was a purposeful deviation from the truth.

Also can anyone tell me how the BBC supposedly denied the “genocide” in Gaza when it ran every piece of Hamas-run ministry of health publication? Does no one here remember the Al-Ahli hospital incident, where the BBC ran an unverified story that the IDF bombed a hospital, killing 500- then it turned out to be less than a dozen wounded from a failed Hamas rocket lunch?
