They do not care and they never have!

  1. *”We should look after our own first… No, I know they’re our own, but not them… or them… or even them”*

  2. Pretty blatant straw-man no? I don’t think many people would hold both these ideas

  3. Do you have one example of a person saying these two things?

  4. It‘s not a paradox, it‘s bigotry. They really don’t care about any of those, they just want to veil their hate. That’s why they are always AGAINST something but never FOR anything. Against accepting refugees but not for helping the homeless. Against allowing abortion but not for adequate child care systems. And so on.

  5. “We need to look after our own!”

“Okay, can we spend some of the money looking after citizens?”

“Socialism is going to destroy the country!”

90% of the time it’s faux outrage

  6. Op having an argument with somebody that doesn’t exist again

  7. You just have to look at the crap they spewed when Marcus Rashford was arguing for free school meals for kids. Blaming parents for having a phone or TVs. A common one was “iF yOu cANt AffORd kIDs, DonT aVe eM!”. And yet they also love to shout “Sport are kids!”. Pathetic.

  8. Just like how they claim they care about children – They seriously don’t, it’s all about money and control with these individuals

  9. They’re not really mutually exclusive opinions. You can be of the opinion that a lot of homelessness is due to poor life choices (drug/alcohol misuse, anti social behaviour, crime) whilst still maintaining the view that British taxpayer money should be used to fund services to British citizens.

  10. How many disabled people died because of conservative party decisions that saw benefits cut.

They don’t want to look after anyone but themselves and never have.

  11. It’s always the same script. The definition of “our own” gets narrower and narrower until it only includes the people who already have the most. The hypocrisy is so blatant it’s almost impressive. They’ll scream about socialism while their hands are in the cookie jar.

  12. Same thing for giving aid to other countries…”Let’s give aid to our own first”..

Proceeds to get upset when free school meals are requested for children in poverty by Marcus Rashford.

Proceeds to get upset when any support is given to Homeless People. (Calls them all drug addicts and drunks)

  13. Deal with the the massive free rider problem and industrial scale gaming of all of our welfare systems by foreigners and see how much more amenable the Right becomes to all of it.

  14. You realise that’s not a contradiction, right? The social services funded by locals are supposed to support locals.

  15. No but isn’t it amazing that the government found money to home illegal immigrants bit cannot find money for ex forces or homeless people ?

  16. You have to love how these leftie memes take two (or more) people’s opinions and mash them together into one person to create a racist caricature of a patriotic Brit.

  17. Speaking as someone who was made homeless, I must unfortunately inform you – the experience did not make me lean to the left in the slightest.

But then it’s a bit like the old foxholes and atheism thing, frankly – in all my time in two very different worlds, it has become increasingly clear to me that the so-called “left” is largely the product of luxury ideology, while the majority of what they call “right” is just people contending with the real world.

  18. Never heard anyone make anything close to the first statement

  19. The left doesn’t care either. Fact is no political party does and to pretend they do is stupidity

  20. Who says the first one? I’ve never heard it in a UK context.

The nearest has been a few left wingers with variants of “the homeless are white men so don’t really matter”.

  21. Said no right winger ever😂

Oh look it’s the radicals fabricating right wing outrage to give them a purpose again now they ain’t protesting😂

    Bless em
