An illegal immigrant has been charged with murder after a grandmother and mom-of-five was found dead in bushes.

Hector David Sagastume Rivas, 21, is facing charges of murder, aggravated assault, rape, aggravated sexual battery, and necrophilia after allegedly strangling 52-year-old Camilla Williams to death.

“You hear about it, but it doesn’t affect you until it happens to your family,” Camilla’s brother, Arsene Williams, told WANF. “You never think it will happen to your family, but it can.

Rivas, who is originally from Honduras, has been in the U.S. since March 2021, said ICE. After being arrested by U.S. Border Patrol, Rivas was issued a notice to appear and paroled into the country by the Biden administration, the agency said in a statement. “A judge ordered him removed on July 11, 2023.”

Rivas allegedly choked Williams, putting his knees and body weight on her neck, killing her, according to his arrest warrant. Her body was discovered in the bushes of a yard in Cobb County, Georgia, on March 13, said police.

Williams’ other brother, Tony, said he doesn’t want Rivas to be deported, but rather executed. “The same way that he executed my sister,” he said.

Williams was a mother to five children and the only family member living in the metro Atlanta area.

She was originally from Louisiana. “My sister took her last breath in Georgia, so he needs to take his last breath in Georgia,” said Tony.

The alleged murder happened just a little over a year after Laken Riley, a 22-year-old nursing student, was murdered while jogging at the University of Georgia by Jose Ibarra, an undocumented immigrant.

Her death led to the Laken Riley Act, which mandates that undocumented immigrants accused of theft, burglary, assaulting a law enforcement officer, and “any crime that causes death or serious bodily injury” be detained and deported.

ICE said it lodged an immigration detainer with the Cobb County Jail. “Trump and Secretary Noem will not allow criminal illegal aliens—including accused murderers—to be loose on America’s streets,” the agency said in a statement.

Governor Kemp said that the Trump administration “will have my administration’s full support and cooperation as they continue to remove dangerous criminals from our communities.”
