Moldova’s consumer price inflation accelerated to 7.0% year-over-year in October 2025, up from 6.9% in September.

Food prices rose 6.8% (vs. 6.7% in September), driven by higher costs for meat, vegetables, and milling and baking products.

Service sector inflation climbed to 13.8% from 12.9%, reflecting increases in utilities, household appliance repairs, and public catering services.

In contrast, non-food goods inflation eased to 2.5% from 2.8%, due to falling fuel and lubricant prices and slower growth in medicines and footwear.

On a monthly basis, consumer prices rose 0.6% in October, following a 0.1% gain in September.
