  1. 1. Not an empire but Grand Duchy, and a Kingdom for a few years. 2. “their”? It was on 90% slavic state(most of its history) and lithuanians were not more important than any ukrainian, belarusian or tatar, in fact, slavs brought *way* more contribution to the state than lithuanians and samogitians, and Žemaitija(like 60-70% of ethnical Lithuanian land back then) was given to Teutons for 4 times. Lithuanian language wasn’t even official, all the main documents were written in Ruthenian and Latin. All the main noble families were slavic or turned slavic after assimilation, most main cities were Slavic and slavic towns had the most number. Even Vilnius was highly inhabited by slavs. So idk how it’s “theirs” xD. The wall is indeed the right companion for those who think GDL was lithuanian state
