This could have opened years ago were it not for all the delays. Or, to be fair, we could give him the credit he deserves and term them as “Boris Blockages” to go with the Boris Bikes, Boris buses, the Boris bridge, Boris’s bunglings and Boris’s Brexit.
Only 3 and a half years late and £4 billion over budget. Not bad
Excited about this. Going to make a few journeys a bit easier and take pressure from the Central Line once the leg that passes via Stratford opens.
Be nice to have a more rapid way to get to Heathrow other than the express train.
Let’s hope the trains aren’t as delayed
>The opening day is set to be a truly historic moment for the capital and the UK
I guess it will be handy for people who need to travel certain parts of London, but a truly historic moment for the UK? Hardly.
*Completely unnecessary white elephant that we don’t need because everyone’s working from home and the building of it was too upsetting for local residents…*
*…oops hang on – we journalists only say that about infrastructure projects **OUTSIDE** of London*
Should ease traffic around Heathrow hopefully
Just in time for work from home.
I wonder how much longer we’ll need them smart motorways as well.
UK transport policy is twenty years behind the world.
