I’m deeply unconvinced that the Greens would be good for the economy.
The British people would rather shoot themselves in the foot if they think it will ‘stop the boats’.
According to the polls, the UK electorate are attracted to whichever political party espouses the most hate and intolerance.
This is the kind of posting I hate, not because I agree with Reform (I really don’t. They would be terrible.) but because they give all the virtue to the Greens. A party with systemic issues that I feel, imo pretty strongly but fairly, would hamper them as a government.
Yet I’m meant to suck it up because the other options are terrible? Yikes.
Unsure sure why taxing Billionaires is considered ‘Not economic’.
I like some of the Green Party policies but there are more options than just two parties
You forgot the ‘punish brown/black/trans/gay/‘other’ people’ on the Reform button
Reform are a terrible option and completely unelectable, but the Greens are no better. They have nothing resembling a viable economic policy, they’re actively expelling women’s rights advocates from their party, and their leader is a madman.
The tories fucked it. Labour are fucking it. I won’t vote Reform because I understand a scam and Russian propaganda when I see it. Are the Green party viable for the average Briton?
The Greens – will introduce a wealth tax of 1% for people with more than £10m in assets and 2% if your assets are more than £1bn.
Thankfully we can vote Reform, they are the only party who are thinking of the poor, starving multi-millionaires and billionaires.
Aa yea more far left bias in the disguise of a shit meme.
The choice is ref UK or ‘whoever has the best chance of beating ref UK in my constituency’.
Thinking greens will get a majority will lead to a reform landslide.
The Greens seem like nice people (generally) but that doesn’t mean that their ideas aren’t absurd and unworkable.
It doesn’t matter who you choose, nothing will change
The country was sold off decades ago
“The year is 1991, it seems that freedom is dead and gone
The power of the rich is held by few
Keep the young paralyzed, educated by your lies
Keep the old ones happy with the news”
Sell Out – The Levellers
Greens are ironically against green energy, pro nimby, anti nuclear deterrent, open border crazies
Lib Dems manifesto looked more grounded in reality than both greens and reform.
Like fuck am I voting green just to try and keep reform out.
We did this with labour and the torys and look at how well that has gone down.
Il vote for the party that makes the most sense at the time and there is fuck all chance it will be the greens. They rarely make sense.
Now is the time to make a new party. That actually speaks for the average person.
Don’t stick Corbyn in charge of it for fucks sake. That man is poisonous to his cause
Ah yes, because the only two options left are left wing populists telling you what you want to hear or right wing populists telling you what you want to hear.
Gods England’s fucked if this is where you really are politically. There is a reason that the Greens are struggling massively for traction in Wales and Scotland. Both have a different alternative on the left to the greens chatting nice sounding nonsense or Labour failing to deliver, and are putting their votes there Instead. I suggest England finds one too
Reform comes across as a cluster fuck waiting to happen… But so does Green.
Labour is the current cluster fuck happening and Conservatives were the cluster fuck before them.
Doesn’t matter why you vote for, you are just voting for a different TYPE of cluster fuck
This is exactly what is wrong with the way people vote. Everyone should read the manifesto of the party, then find out about the people that are running in your constituency. Vote for the best person that represents your values, unfortunately, most people don’t know who their MP is they just look down the list for the party that they always vote for, irrespective of the person that represents that party, or they pick on one particular thing that they heard once down the pub that one person said that was on telly the other night that they thought was said by that bloke that’s telling us all to vote a particular way.
Speak for yourself, England
The sad fact is that, no matter who you choose to vote for, you’ll probably end up disappointed and lied to. This has always been the way.
I have some big concerns with the green party. I think they’d not be great for the economy in a lot of ways, I disagree with their standpoint on nuclear weapons, rent, policing, the military and I don’t know if their immigration policies would stand up to scrutiny at all, I’m yet to work out my view on their border policies.
But Reform? F*ck. That. Complete and abject disaster. For all of us, especially their voters.
I don’t plan on voting for either
Another political meme favouring a specific party
Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyy
I wouldn’t fucking vote either but The Greens will not be good for the economy.
I want tighter immigration with regards to low skilled mass immigration so Reform suit me there, but like the Greens for the environment, taxing the rich, etc. So I dunno yet.
The problem is that any party is going to shift in directions where they get votes. Conservatives and ~~tories~~ Labour both moved further to the right in order to claim back votes from parties like UKIP/BNP/Reform etc.
Or rather , conservatives moved to the right to get those votes , and Labour moved to the right to get the votes of the tories.
Any party that can surpass the two big players, as well as reform, risk doing the same in the future unless there is some massive educational shift in people’s understanding of politics, geopolitics, and corporate lobbying.
Everyone is so busy focusing on a narrative that they’ve been encouraged to believe, encouraged by media bodies with other interests.
How many politicians have courted Murdoch in the lead up to elections such as Boris or Starmer. The guys a kingmaker who can very easily control the public narrative to make it much harder for you to get votes.
No matter where you look in the Uk, the same thing can be heard of “there’s not enough houses” etc etc but people are moving all the time up and down the country. If you can afford to buy you stand a better chance.
We lost so much of the social housing stock over the years, and it hasn’t been replaced, or replaced at scale.
We’re told that affordable housing is available but in reality it’s a small number of properties on a new development and is still usually quite unaffordable.
We had lost youth clubs, community centres, social hubs, elements of social care, education has changed and so on..
.. but the problem is always pointed towards immigration, I’ve heard that for over 20 years. It’s never anything to do with the wealthy, or the politicians with their own interests or who are in the pockets of others.
The problem is, manipulation of the public is effective at a global scale (because the same thing can be replicated in several countries), so everyone spends so much time focusing on one area, that not enough focus is placed on the issues to actually get enough traction, or to care enough about it
I can’t believe the young people in this country actually think the Greens who have been taken over by Islam are a viable party. Talk about turkeys voting for Christmas.
The reality is, people are gonna vote for the person that says all the things every other politician is scared to say.
Two utterly delusional, ideologically inflexible parties whose policies have no chance of surviving the harsh test of reality. Thankfully, they will only ever amount to a loud rabble at the back of the chamber.
