I don’t know if this was their intent, but by agreeing to a deal to reopen the government, it forces Johnson’s hand in bringing Congress back to work. If he does that he will be forced to swear in the Democrat from Arizona, and they would theoretically have enough votes to pass the Epstein file resolution.
And just ignore what the rest of your party thinks? You gotta admit Trump is right about loyalty, wrong or right, at least they are consistent
He needs to go do not pass go do not collect $100. This game is over for him and he failed miserably.
Schumer needs to go. Whether he supported opening the government back up or couldn’t stop his party from voting so, makes no difference. The result is the same. And Schumer should be tossed.
Even if they do make him step down, it is too little too late. The Democrats are a joke; we need a new party.
Regardless of how you feel about the resolution to the shutdown, this is absolutely a good thing.
Schumer has to go.
Did I miss something? I could have sworn that he wasn’t among the group of Democrats that caved.
If ACA dies it’s on chuck… that unfortunate fuck.
I’m a little weirded out by this coverage and response. Chuck Schumer didn’t cave. He’s been serving for a long time and probably needs to pass leadership but he wasn’t the one who crossed the isle. Yet he’s getting all the flack. Democrats don’t party like Republicans. They don’t step in line and jump when told. It’s one of the major parts that separates the party
John Fetterman of Pennsylvania, Catherine Cortez Masto of Nevada, Angus King of Maine, Dick Durbin of Illinois, Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire, Tim Kaine of Virginia, Jackie Rosen of Nevada, and Jeanne Shaheen of New Hampshire. Now these are the politicians we should be yelling at.
The democrats that caved in are disgraceful, and all of them that did cave in have to resign!
Now is the time. Strike while the iron is hot.
