  1. I don’t know if this was their intent, but by agreeing to a deal to reopen the government, it forces Johnson’s hand in bringing Congress back to work. If he does that he will be forced to swear in the Democrat from Arizona, and they would theoretically have enough votes to pass the Epstein file resolution.

  9. I’m a little weirded out by this coverage and response. Chuck Schumer didn’t cave. He’s been serving for a long time and probably needs to pass leadership but he wasn’t the one who crossed the isle. Yet he’s getting all the flack. Democrats don’t party like Republicans. They don’t step in line and jump when told. It’s one of the major parts that separates the party
